What We Do
Safeguarding Australia with Every Vehicle Import
Since 2021, Australia’s ports have seen an 88% increase in new vehicles arriving with biosecurity risk material contamination. Over the same period, the total number of new vehicle imports into Australia has risen by 17%. Biosecurity risk material must be removed from contaminated vehicles before they can be released. This contamination includes soil, plant debris, seeds, and live insects not native to Australia.
These are real and serious threats to Australian agriculture and our natural environment. We are committed to expediting cargo flow and working diligently to deliver biosecurity risk-free vehicles to our customers under the direct supervision of the Biosecurity Department. Our team employs rigorous cleaning protocols and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with national biosecurity standards. We continuously invest in training and resources to enhance our capabilities, enabling us to respond swiftly to the evolving biosecurity landscape. By collaborating closely with relevant authorities and stakeholders, we strive to safeguard our environment while providing efficient service to our clients.
What happens when risky materials are detected in your imported vehicle?
Once the contamination is identified by the department, increased surveillance specific to your vehicles will be initiated. A thorough inspection will be conducted, including the interior and exterior of the vehicles, engine bay, air filters, radiator and grille, seats, cowl areas, wheel arches, rubber seals, carpets, undercarriage, mirrors, window ledges, protective film covers, bonnet, all air vents and etc.
The vehicle will then be placed on quarantine hold and await inspection along with mandatory decontamination procedures. After transportation to our facility in enclosed carriers, the cleaning process will begin. Following a comprehensive quarantine cleaning that adheres to national biosecurity standards, a reinspection and approval are required before the vehicles can be released.
Upon release, we issue a verified report for each unit, confirming compliance with all biosecurity measures. This documentation provides definitive proof of compliance and ensures that each vehicle has been thoroughly inspected and decontaminated in accordance with national standards.
